Meet Sophie Brun

My name is Sophie.

I have been teaching French for 20 years now.

I started in 2004 when I settled in Madrid and taught specifically in companies which means specific content such as finances, sales, and lawyers

I returned to France in 2014, and since then I have designed materials for teachers, as well as teaching  French to ex-pats. A couple of years ago I began French workshops which combine touring and speaking: we explore an area while chatting about its history, culture, and habit. In a word, practising French in an informal and unstressed way. I’ve also started teaching  migrants through local programs that help them to settle in France and find a job.

I work face to face and online too, with students worldwide including England, the USA and Spain.

All through my life, I have had several passions: riding and working with horses, then living abroad (Africa, England, Spain), teaching French. For now, I am passionate about IT coding, and I am learning the I

T language Python. Why coding? It amazes me to see seemingly boring lines of instructions turning into colourful and lively web pages. I hope to release my new website in 2022!

Meet Helen Puillandre, Florist

My name is Helen Puillandre, I am married and have two boys, I am a florist by trade, trained, and worked in Dublin. Moved to France, lived two years in Paris, and have been living in Provence permanently for the past 28 years, going back and forth to Ireland as often as possible.

I arrange weddings, dinner parties, decorate houses for events. At Christmas I am a wreath maker working with Jean Jacques Bourgeois at Memoires d’un Ane in l’Isle sur la Sorgue and Edith Mezard in Lumiere I have given floral classes and demonstration in Paris, and Provence, recently with Christian Tortu in Edith Mezard’s boutique.

 

 

My work was the subject of articles in Maison et décor mediterranée, la Provence has been seen on FR3 and was chosen for the front page of the Blachere illumination 2019 catalogue.
